IDKWTIF: Business and entrepreneurship are tools to bear fruit; through jobs, services, products, leadership and transformation. John 15:2 and Matthew 25:14-30 speaks of the same things. Take a closer look. While many focus only on the internal fruit…the Lord also commands external fruit from us. Get in the game! Fruit of the Spirit is foundational but not the finish. Just as salvation is the start but not finish.
6 YEARS ANNI - What have we learned? The truth. Love is an action and a decision, not a just feeling. Respect is love - for me. Love is love- for her. Growth is inevitable. However, growth together is optional and must be chosen DAILY. (We both agree that after our first 3 years or so, we weren’t sure if we were gonna make it.) Make no mistake, marriage is a gift, but there is no set it and forget it to marriage. Everyday u choose ur person. Everyday u choose to show up. Everyday u choose to be better. Everyday u choose to grow up. Unspoken Truth: Loving ur person everyday doesn’t mean u will like ur person everyday (I wish more marriages shined light on this truth instead of just saying “it’s work”). However if u chose correctly then the work will always be worth it. I’m a better man - have better goals, better skin, better health, better sleep, and better dreams because of my person. Not all ur years of marriage will be equal to each other, but each one should provide a little more information on how to best love the other. My wife is dope, and everybody who knows her knows it. As Believers, we’re called to examine ourselves, not to condemn, but to grow. Self awareness isn’t just a personal development, it’s a biblical command. “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” Psalms 139:23-24
When we are honest to Him about our motives, emotions and weaknesses, we become vessels of integrity that God can shape and use.
It keeps PRIDE in check. Makes room for the HOLY SPIRIT to convict and transform. It’s helps us REPENT sincerely, not just for actions but for the heart behind the things we do. It allows us to walk in LOVE because we’re AWARE of how we affect others.
